Schools and Education
The Garland Independent School District is the 13th largest school district in Texas. It has more than 55,000 students enrolled in 62 schools. There are several colleges, universities, and trade schools located either in or in close proximity to Garland. They include Amber University, Education America-Denver North Campus, National Beauty College and the International Beauty College 3.
Twenty-two percent of Garland residents age 25 and older have a bachelor's or advanced college degree.
